This is a very early and fine Kulap chalk figure from New Ireland with a great provenance. The piece was originally from the Ernst Heinrich Collection—an important German collector from the 1920s to the 1950s. The figure was sold at Parke-Bernet in Oct. 1967 and then to Charles Ratton and Madeleine Meunier in Paris. The piece is delicate and refined, is 8” (20.3 cm) in height and dates to the late 19th century. The price is $15,000. Questions?
