This delicate piece is a woven headdress used to adorn a ritually-grown long yam. Such a headdress would have been placed behind a small woven or carved wood yam mask on the yam. This example comes from the Southern Abelam area and is unusual for its fine, elegant shape. The headdress is 17" in height, comes mounted on a custom display stand. sold
