Shell trumpets were used on the Schouten Islands that lie off of New Guinea's north coast in times of emergency to call in family members fishing offshore or working in the gardens. These three are both large and old showing three different aged patinas. The left one is 14" (35.5 cm) in height and sells for $900, the middle one is the largest at 15" (38.2 cm) and sells for $850. The right shell is 14 1/4" (36.2 cm) and sells for $500. Questions?
