Oceanic Art - Image Enlargement

This tall, elegant drum comes from the area around Teptep, high in the Finisterre Mountain range in the border between Papua New Guinea's Madang and Morobe provinces. The piece has a marsupial skin tympanum and a wonderfully glossy patina from generations of use. The piece is 43 ½" tall and sells for $1800. Questions?
