Oceanic Art - Miscellaneous Enlargement

This small figure probably was the terminal of a canoe paddle from the Lower Ramu River area. The figure is of classic form with layers of red and black pigments with nassa shell eyes. The piece has the nice smooth edges of a very old piece. The figure is 7 ¼" in height, comes mounted on a custom display stand. sold
