This powerful piece is either Yangoru Boiken or from the south towards the Sawos in the Sepik Plains. Its use is somewhat of a mystery as it is carved out at the base suggesting it was placed on a post or some other vertical element. The piece has good age and strong colors and aesthetics. The head is 15" in height, comes from the collection of Reg and Judy MacDonald, dates to the 1930/40s. sold
