This little figure comes from the Eastern Boiken people who live on the southern slopes of the Prince Alexander Mountains. Such figures represented ancestral spirits and were used on shrines mostly to aid in hunting. This one has several layers of red pigments, some traces of blue and white colors and dates to the 1940s. It is 11" in height, has two nails embedded into the base, comes with a custom display stand. sold
