Oceanic Art - Miscellaneous Enlargement

This elegant Western Australian boomerang has a wonderfully complex zigzag design carved onto one side. The piece has remains of red ochres and a glossy surface that looks like an old coat of varnish (in the early days of collecting artifacts many people used varnish as a way of protecting the wood).
