Oceanic Art - Enlargement

This set of unique pieces are clam shell carved into the shape of nearly full-circle boar's tusks-highly valuable and prestigious items in the area of Collingwood Bay where these were collected. There are remains of natural resin on the ends of the tusks where they would have been attached to some form of body ornament-probably a pectoral. The pieces are roughly 4 ½" in diameter, mounted.sold
