This is a pre-contact, stone-carved shield from the Kalam culture, Simbai area, Schrader Mountain Range, Madang Province, Papua New Guinea. The shield has the classic raised multi-lobed motif with a double row of small squares. The shield is circa 1900, is 40" in height. sold
