This is a fine, older Abelam yam mask done in the coiled cane technique-the old timers call these woven yam masks but I have been told by an expert that these are actually coiled as opposed to woven. This particular yam mask is nice and small, tightly constructed, aged patina on the reverse and layers of pigments on the front — all the signs of a top quality Abelam yam mask. It is 10 ¼" in height, dates to the 1930/40s. sold
