This Kimberly area, Western Australia pearl shell pubic cover is called either a lonkalonka or a jokoli. Worn around the waist with human hair belts these most often were used by men. This example has both an elegant tear-drop shape and a strong interlocking key design in-filled with red ochre. The shell is 7 ¼" in height, has a thin human hair rope. sold
