This rare pectoral comes from the remote Amanab area in the far west of Papua New Guinea alongside the border with West Papua. This type of boar's tusk pectoral would have been worn only by men who have killed other men. This example is quite nice for the symmetry of the descending size of boars tusks and the extra accoutrements such as partial hornbill beak, the cuscus fur tail and the small parrot beak.
