This Massim betel pestle sports a wide-eyed, engaging figure with a pleasing smile. The piece is carved from ebony with a glossy patina from generations of traditional use. The figure’s nose is pierced and this is encountered on some of the most ancient Massim pieces. The pestle is 8" in length, is pre-1920 at least and sells for $2300. Questions?
