This powerful piece is a small masquette from the Lower Ramu River. The mask is carved from a dense hardwood, has a strong overhanging brow and a haunting expression. Part of one side of the face has been eroded away. The piece is strong, stable, 6 3/4" in height, pre-1920. sold
