This is an ancient stone-headed club from the remote and feared Kukukuku culture that lives at the border area between Papua New Guinea's Gulf, Morobe and Eastern Highlands Provinces. The stone head is a nice, elegant oval and the shaft is hardwood with a glossy patina. The stone has nice remains of red pigments and the cane binding is old with a glossy patina as well. The piece is pre-1900, 26" in length. sold
