This small Massim splash board has a very fine design and a nicely executed small figure at the top. This, like all similar splash boards, was mounted athwart ships just inboard of the bow on kula trading canoes. The piece shows significant wear with some burn marks and the letter "R" incised into the reverse. The splash board is on the smaller side at 17 ½", comes mounted on a custom display stand. sold
