This is an elegant pre-contact, stone-carved wood plate from the Boiken culture who live among the coastal Prince Alexander Mountains. The design is minimal but crisp and beautifully composed. The patina is thick and glossy with age. The plate is 17" in diameter, dates to the late 19th century. sold
