This is a striking cassowary feather billum from the Mountain-Ok culture south of the Blackwater airstrip in Papua New Guinea’s West Sepik Province. These are often worn with bag hanging on the back and flopping upa and down during dances. There are a few red feather accents on the bag and notice the rents in the fiber on the reverse. The piece is 22" as mounted, dates to the early/mid 20th century and sells for $1000. Questions?
