This is a fine and rare boar’s tusk pectoral from the remote Amanab area in the far west of Papua New Guinea’s West Sepik Province. Such pectorals made from ground down boar’s tusks in descending order were worn only by men who have killed other men. Thus, the people explained to me, they are like Western neckties, only worn by important men. This example is 14" in height, dates to the early/mid 20th century and sells for $1200. Questions?
