This is a rare type of Western Abelam "karaut" boar's tusk pectoral. Only very few Abelam karauts come from the west towards the Ilahita Arapesh and have the small, fully-realized woven baba spirit face between the two top boar's tusks. This example is quite old and large showing generations of use. The piece is just over 13" in height. sold
