This is a set of three very nice, unusual and old bone objects. The left is an ancient Abelam cassowary bone dagger with an all-over ancestral design and a beautiful red/brown glossy patina. The middle piece is Abelam but I am not sure what animal this bone comes from or of the use of this particular object. It has two holes at the top where feather decorations would have been attached –thus this piece could have been a dance ornament. The right object is again very unusual with the long downward pointed bird beak, the main blade is flat and rounded as if it would have been used as a scraper. All three are obviously very old, all pre-1920 for sure, they range in size from 6 ½" to 8 ¾" in height and sell as a set for $2300. Questions?
