This is an old lime spatula from northwest of Collingwood Bay in Papua New Guinea's Oro Province. It has the classic rectangular top with a raised medial ridge and incised abstract motifs. What makes this one unusual is the age, patina and the nice curve to it. I have restored a small section on the lower left side where about an inch of the perforated section had broken away. The spatula is 17 ½" in length, dates to pre-1920. sold
