This is an excellent set of three cassowary bone daggers coming from three separate but neighboring cultures. The left one is very old and is a classic Yangoru Boiken dagger with the central motif of two vertical ellipses transformed into an ancestral face-below this are three splayed figures on their sides. The middle dagger is a classic Abelam one with an aged dark brown patina. The right dagger is from the area to the north between the Yangoru and the Abelam called Bukie now but previously known as Plains Arapesh. All three are 13 ½" in height, are at least early 20th century if not older and sell as a set for $1400. Questions?
