This is a nice older example of a rare form of club from the remote Kukukuku area at the border between Gulf, Morobe and Eastern Highlands Provinces in Papua New Guinea. The club is all wood but it mimics the style that normally has a stone "pineapple" shaped stone affixed to a wood shaft. The patina on this example is thick and black, somewhat shiny in spots to the nature of smoke soot that it was exposed to over the years. The club is 39" in length. sold
