This large and impressive dog's tooth headband comes from Biem Island, part of the Schouten Islands, where it would have been worn only by a village chief. The piece is quite old with a dark patina. While the headband is 23 ½", it is mounted so that it curves around in a semicircle with the widest part in front-at nearly 7" high. sold
