This is an ancient cassowary bone dagger collected by Ron Perry in the Southern Abelam area known as the Wosera in the early 1970s. It shows significant age, strong clear carving (pre-contact) and a nice string of bird feathers attached to the holes cut in the top knobs. Please note the delicate open-work carved into the top. The dagger s 13 ½" in height, late 19th/early 20th century. sold
