This unusual piece is a fiber and shell mask from the Coastal Ramu River area in Madang Province, Papua New Guinea. These masks are both delicate and engaging with mother of pearl eyes, dog's teeth on the nose and nassa and conus shells everywhere else. The mask shows good age and use, is 9" in height. sold
