This is a fine example of a women’s tapa skirt from Collingwood Bay, Oro Province, Papua New Guinea. I have photographed the tapa vertically but you can see the tapa on the right side that would have been at the bottom of the skirt. The piece has a classic design, shows good age, dates to the mid 20th century, is 63" by 27" and sells for $1000. Questions?
