Another fine and unusual Collingwood Bay tapa cloth. While the women of Collingwood Bay do make some tapa for sale they still have many old heirlooms that they have held from their mothers and grandmothers. This tapa is just such an older example with a complex, convoluted design. Like the others I have on the website this would have been worn by women, but could also be used as a blanket and given as a bride price. The tapa is 64" by 34", dates to the mid 20th century and sells for $1400. Questions?
