This is an ancient bullroarer from the Papuan Gulf area. The piece has a nicely executed ancestral face carved in high relief and a design in-filled with white lime. The bullroarer is carved from a hardwood, shows extensive age and there is some erosion to the side of the face. The piece is 28 ½" in height, dates to pre-1930. sold
