This tiny figure is from the top of a Massim lime spatula. Collected prior to 1944 by the American soldier Carl Pearson the piece obviously has at least fifty years of field use prior to it leaving the field. The figure is the classic elbows to knees pose with an elegantly arched back and scroll motifs incised on both the body and face. At only 4 3/8" the piece is small but powerful with a dark glossy patina. sold.Questions?
