Oceanic Art - Image Enlargement

This striking headdress comes from Dyke Ackland Bay in Papua New Guinea's Oro Province. Composed of six hornbill beaks on a string this is the classic male headdress in the area. There are traces of orange pigments on some of the beaks. As mounted, the piece is 12" across and 12" in height. sold
