This charming little gal is from the Southern Abelam area of East Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea. It is unusual for both its diminutive size and the fact that it was carved with no arms. It has wonderfully squat proportions, a slight cant to the head and nice remains of black and red pigments. The piece comes from the collection of Reg and Judy MacDonald, stands 8 ½" in height. sold
