This elegant club comes from the Massim culture of southeast New Guinea. The club has a very deep and finely carved design. The fineness, clarity, depth of carving and the aged patina indicate that this is an early, turn of the century, piece. The top of the club has an elegant openwork section that appears to have been more elaborate at some stage. The piece is 48" in height. sold
