The coconut shell spoons from the Papuan Gulf are some of the most unusual in all of New Guinea. They have ancestral faces at the top, a narrow shaft and a round cut-out cup at the base. This one has a very engaging ancestral face with white lime infilling the design. The spoon has a light brown surface but still shows good age. It is 5" in length. sold
