This sweet little lime spatula is obviously Massim and I would guess that it comes from near Cape Vogel on the New Guinea mainland. I say this only because of the naturalism of the face and the dot eyes. The wood is not ebony but a hard, dark brown wood. It's left arm has obviously been lost long ago. The expression is pleasing and quizzical. The spatula is 10 ½" in length, dates to the early 20th century and sells for $1500. Questions?
