This is a very large and impressive mask from the Murik Lakes area of Papua New Guinea. The mask has good age, circa 1930, and good remains of bright orange/red pigments. The mask is very unusual for having a female motif carved in relief on the reverse of the mask. The mask is 31" in height and sells for $7500. Questions?
