This striking mask comes from Manam Island that lies off the coast at the mouth of the Ramu River in Madang Province, Papua New Guinea. The mask is a good old one with extensive field use evidenced by the layers of pigments and old, worn piercings both on the mask and around its perimeter. The mask has good age but also bold, vibrant red, pink and blue colors. The piece is 26" in height. sold
